Easter switch off

17 Apr 2019

Help us reduce our consumption by switching off all non-essential electrical items before the Easter weekend begins

Environmental sustainability

Each day the University uses around £26,000 worth of electricity, and you can help us reduce our consumption by switching off all non-essential electrical items, if it is safe to, before the Easter weekend begins.

This Easter we can each do our part to help curb costs and carbon emissions associated with our collective energy use. If you would like to see how much electricity and carbon emissions are being used and produced by your building you can visit the Estates energy dashboard.

The dashboard covers 70 buildings across campus and provides an overview of electricity use and compares usage to a similar period last year.

Have a happy Easter and remember to Switch Off!

The Easter switch off also supports 10,000 Actions, which is a range of measures you can complete to help our University become more sustainable.
