Would you like to be part of the University’s 2019 Community Festival?

05 Apr 2019

Following the huge success of the last two University-wide Community Festivals, we are looking for staff and students to be involved in this year’s event on Saturday, 15 June

Community Festival

As part of our commitment to enhancing our relationship with members of our local communities, we hold a University-wide Community Festival in June each year. Over 2,000 visitors find out about our work, have fun and try out some of our activities. This year’s Festival will be on Saturday, 15 June from 11am-4pm centred round Manchester Museum, University Place and Williamson Square.

As a Community Festival Ambassador you will provide a friendly, positive and knowledgeable welcome to all our visitors, provide information and signpost people to activities, and help with the setting up and taking down of the event.

“I had a great time …  I’d love to be a part of it again next year.”

You do not need to be available all day, specific time slots can be agreed but we would ask for a commitment of at least 4 hours. You will be fully briefed and you would be expected to attend one of the briefing meetings prior to the event. A light lunch will be provided on the day.

If you are interested in taking part and can spare some time between 9am and 5pm, please contact socialresponsibility@manchester.ac.uk.

Please speak to your line manager about the policy and arrangement for working at weekends.
