Be Active have a full programme for 2019 at the Wellbeing Rooms in the Simon Building and H11 in the Sackville Building
We have many different yoga and Pilates-style sessions plus loads of other holistic type session and fitness classes.
We also have a wellbeing choir which is a great way to have fun, and meet new people and the good news is you don't have to be great at singing!
New classes this semester
Strala combines the movement wisdom of tai chi with the forms of yoga, tai chi, qigong, and traditional Chinese medicine, as a way to help people release stress, heal, and move more easily through all kinds of challenge. It is a movement system guided and fuelled by the breath. Every inhale opens and creates space, every exhale relaxes and lets you move easily into the space you create.
Heels Fitness Dance Craze
It’s a dance-fitness class in heels, very much like an old-school aerobics class but with a greater emphasis on low-impact, toning up and dance flow to improve balance, strengthen lower-body muscles and boost self-esteem. Don’t forget your dancing heels!
Restore & Nidra Yoga
Yoga to restore body and mind.This is a holistic class suitable for everyone. We will use breath throughout to flow through some gentle joint releases, do some warming flow before finding restful positions in which we deeply relax key areas of tension. We will finish with yoga nidra relaxation to fully relax and restore body and mind.
