Wellbeing Lectures – February and March

16 Jan 2019

We are delighted to confirm our upcoming lunchtime wellbeing lectures.

Stones on beach

On the 21st January Gemma Dale from the University will deliver a lecture How to Help Your Team Thrive. The lecture will show managers how they can support a culture of wellbeing and will explore what actions line managers can take to help their teams to thrive at work.

In February, we will be joined by Andy Romero-Birkbeck from Hero Wellbeing who will be talking about sleep.  Andy will be delivering a highly practical session, looking at how you can get a better quality of sleep. You can book for this session on Friday 15th February here

In March, Jo Howarth of the Happiness Club joins us for World Happiness Day on the 20th March. Jo will be talking about ‘how to be happy’ – methods for improving our day to day happiness.  You can book for this session here.

If you didn’t make it to the October lecture on positive psychology, why not watch the video?

Wellbeing Wednesday lunchtime sessions

On the 30th January, there is a free lunchtime session for all staff on How to become more financially aware. According to recent research, one worker in three has less than a month’s savings set aside, while one in seven has no savings at all. Andrew Collings from Neyber (financial wellness provider) will provide take away tips to help you become more financially savvy.

In February, as part of LGBT History Month, there is a free lunchtime session - LGBT History, Past, Present and Future on Wednesday 13th February, where Paul Marks-Jones from Equality and Diversity, will share stories on famous figures and activism from our University.

We hope you can join us for our lectures and wellbeing Wednesday sessions.
