The Royal Society of Biology’s new Addressing Global Challenges campaign includes a feature that highlights the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health’s focus on basic, clinical and translational research at the interface of infection, immunity, inflammation and repair.

Launched at the Royal Society’s annual awards, the film includes interviews with scientists and students and was filmed in our Immunology laboratories in the Core Technology Facility.

Professor Jane Worthington, Head of the School of Biological Sciences, said: “Our University is home to all the expertise necessary to integrate complex biological processes into our fundamental understanding of health and disease for the benefit of patients.

“This four-minute film is part of a news and current affairs collaboration designed to raise profile for the Biological sciences, demonstrating Manchester’s research-led teaching excellence and scientific innovation.”
