City centre events travel update

There are several events taking place around the city on Friday, 10 August
Cricket teams Lancashire Lightning and Birmingham Bears play each other on Friday, 10 August at Emirates Old Trafford.
A crowd of over 10,000 spectators is expected for the match. Play starts at 6.30pm and will run until around 9.45pm.
Also taking place that evening is the Manchester United v Leicester City football match at Old Trafford (8pm-10pm), and Grandslam 2018: Simple Minds and The Pretenders concert at the AJ Bell stadium in Eccles (4pm-10.30pm).
Roads are expected to be busy from 4pm, particularly in the Trafford area and TfGM advises all travellers to plan their journeys in advance.
