Staff are invited to enter a competition to win an overnight getaway at one of the University’s fantastic hotel facilities
This one-off opportunity is being launched to celebrate the recent refurbishment of Chancellors Hotel in Fallowfield and the upcoming opening of the new 4* Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites hotels in July.
Three free getaways are available, with winners receiving a night’s stay, breakfast and dinner for two people at either Chancellors, the new 4* Crowne Plaza or Staybridge Suites hotels.
There are a range of options available for staff and visitors, including the recently refurbished Chancellors Hotel in Fallowfield, a Grade II listed manor house, and the new 4* Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites hotels.
Tours of both hotels are also being organised for staff responsible for group room bookings for visitors and conferences.
Chancellors Hotel
We would like to invite you to join us for an open day at Chancellors Hotel on Monday, 11 June. The hotel is a University-owned Grade II listed mansion and the former home of Sir Joseph Whitworth, set within five acres of beautiful landscaped gardens with free onsite parking.
The hotel has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, restoring it back to its former glory, with opulent chandeliers, sleek blue and grey interiors and sumptuous bedrooms.
Whether you are looking for accommodation in a setting which is intrinsically linked to University history or modern conferencing facilities, the hotel is able to meet all of your needs.
We have also refreshed our conferencing packages and are delighted to offer competitive day delegate rates from £36 including a hot and cold platter buffet and exclusive rates for overnight accommodation.
There are two open day times available with a minibus leaving the Old Quad outside Christie’s Bistro on Oxford Road Campus at 9am and 11am, with a welcome drink and nibbles served in Christies Bistro 30 minutes before.
On arrival you will be given a historic overview of the hotel and a tour of the building and facilities before being treated to pastries or lunch. The Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites
Located on Booth Street West next to the newly transformed Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS), the 4* Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites hotels are set to open their doors in July. They will provide business class accommodation in a central campus location for the first time. How to book: The Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites are offering a preferential fixed rate for staff, providing peace of mind for those responsible for large group bookings and making the hotel particularly competitive at peak times. The University has committed to booking a certain number of bedrooms per year at the Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites while also supporting our existing hotel facilities at Chancellors. Competition details
Enter our free prize draw and winners will receive a night’s stay, breakfast and dinner for two people at either Chancellors, the new 4* Crowne Plaza or Staybridge Suites hotels. In total, there will be three prizes (one for each hotel) and you will be notified via email of next steps. Booking dates will be subject to availability and the prizes will be drawn at random. The competition closes on Monday, 18 June at 6pm.
