Unit Surveys - encourage students to 'Tell Us'

07 May 2013

All taught students are being asked for their feedback on the quality of their teaching in the Semester 2 Unit Surveys, which are open until 17 May.

Tell Us

Staff are asked to encourage students to complete the surveys as  soon as possible. The surveys will be open for three weeks, until Friday, 17 May.

For those schools doing online surveys, students will be able to take them by logging into My Manchester and clicking on the ‘My Blackboard’ tab. Students will also be able to download a special mobile app and complete the surveys on their mobile devices – for more details see:

Some schools have opted to use paper surveys – these will be handed out in lectures and seminars.

A ‘Tell Us’ communication campaign, co-ordinated by the Teaching and Learning Support Office and Student Communications and Marketing, will encourage students to complete their Unit Surveys.

A digital screen image and an email banner can be downloaded from:

A2 and A3 posters can be ordered from:

As part of the campaign, temporary ‘pop-up’ computer clusters will be set up in central University buildings including Alan Gilbert Learning Commons, the Main Library and University Place.

These will be staffed by student ambassadors who will engage with fellow students and encourage them to take their online Unit Surveys there and then.

Key contacts in schools will receive weekly updates on response rates, while email reminders will also be sent direct to those students who have not completed their surveys.
