Manchester’s Museums and Galleries: legacy information evening

01 May 2013

On Thursday, 2 May (5-7pm) at The Manchester Museum - booking essential.

Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester Museum and Manchester City Galleries warmly invite you to a legacy information evening, to be held in Manchester Museum’s Living Worlds gallery on Thursday, 2 May, 5-7pm.

This event is an opportunity to hear about how the outstanding collections in Manchester have been enhanced by the generosity of supporters who have left a gift in their Will, and how you can help this work to continue. We are grateful to have support from Manchester law firm, JMW Solicitors, and leading accountants, Hurst, who will talk about why making a Will is so important and the practicalities of doing so. They will also be available to chat to you over the course of the evening to answer any informal questions you might have.

One-to-one advice surgeries

If you have more detailed queries about making a Will which you would like to discuss in private, we are delighted to offer the opportunity to book a free, one-to-one advice surgery with Hurst and JMW. Both companies will be offering 30 minute private consultations at:

  • Manchester Museum on 7 May (11am-3pm)
  • Manchester Art Gallery on 9 May (4-8pm)

For all of us, making a Will is one of the most personal and private decisions we are ever likely to make. Please be assured that we will not ask you about your plans, nor will we ask you personally to consider any of our individual organisations in your Will. However, if that is something you would like to discuss with us, then we would be very happy to arrange to do so with you in confidence.

Booking

Booking is essential. To attend on 2 May and/or to book a one-to-one consultation with either Hurst or JMW, please RSVP as follows:

You are very welcome to bring additional guests.

Refreshments will be provided on arrival and the evening will conclude with an optional curator’s tour of the Museum’s brand new Nature’s Library gallery.

We do hope you will be able to join us.
