Staff Survey 2013

28 Feb 2013

The countdown is on to Monday 11 March – when the Staff Survey 2013 goes live.

Staff Survey: Work-Life Balance

The survey questionnaire has now been piloted with a small group of staff, with most people taking part saying they were able to complete it in around 15 minutes.

Managers have been asked to give you time in the working day to complete the survey.

The Staff Survey 2013 is being administered by an external company, Capita, so you can be confident that your responses will be treated with total anonymity and confidentiality.

The majority of the 9,600 staff taking part in the survey will be able to complete it online, via an email from Capita which they will receive on Monday 11 March.

Those of you who don’t have access to a PC at work will receive a paper copy which you can complete and return to Capita in a pre-paid envelope.

Two incentives are on offer – an iPad will be given away each week the survey is live, and a £1 donation will be made to your choice of The Christie, Cancer Research UK or Wateraid.

The survey closes on Friday 19 April and the results will be shared with staff during June. Six action plans will be put together – a University-wide one; one for each of the four Faculties; and one for the Professional Support Services/Library/visitor attractions.

Progress against these action plans will be monitored by the Staff Survey Steering Group which is being led by Professor Martin Humphries, Vice-President and Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences.
