Volunteer as a NeuroGrrl Guide for the Wellcome Trust

The Wellcome Trust is looking for volunteers (PhD students/postdocs and staff) who would like to do some public engagement in April during the Barbican Centre's Wonder: Art and Science on the Brain season.

From 6 to 9 April, the Wellcome Trust is programming a series of events at the Barbican Centre combining neuroscience with art, music, performance and hands-on demonstrations. Volunteers will be asked to talk about their research and about Science Grrl, and also to help the public navigate the Wonder Street Fair.

All reasonable expenses, including travel and subsistence, will be reimbursed, but not accommodation.

A minimum commitment of one day is requested, but you could do more if you’re able.

Volunteers are needed for the following sessions:

Saturday 6 April

  • 5pm – 10pm (x3)

Sunday 7 April

  • 10am – 9pm
  • 10am – 3.30pm (x4)
  • 3.30pm – 9pm (x4)

Monday 8 April

  • 10am – 10pm
  • 10am – 4pm (x4)
  • 4pm – 10pm (x5)

Tuesday 9 April

  • 10am – 10pm
  • 10am – 4pm (x4)
  • 4pm – 10pm (x5)
