Fellowship opportunities at the Museum

17 Jan 2013

Gain experience in public engagement with our popular cultural partner.

Big Saturday at the Museum

The Wellcome Trust is currently seeking applications from upcoming stars in public engagement with science to become Engagement Fellows.

The Manchester Museum is offering to host a Fellow and to support the development of any successful Fellows, and strongly encourages people thinking of applying to do so.

The Museum has a key role in achieving the social responsibility aspirations of the University. It attracts around 350,000 visitors a year, mostly from Greater Manchester.

Key attractions are newly developed galleries around the natural world, archaeology and Egyptology. These are accompanied by a packed programme of events and educational programmes for people of all ages and with a wide range of interests.

The Museum participates in a number of major annual festivals and has a proven track record in engaging researchers from biomedical science and/or medical humanities disciplines with a wide range of audiences.

Fellows would become involved in developing and delivering public engagement activities in the Museum and with local communities.
