What the Dickens? It's a Christmas Carolathon

From 9.30am to 2pm on Wednesday 12 December, students and staff will be reading 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens aloud in aid of housing and homelessness charity Shelter.

Organised by Jerome de Groot from English and American Studies, the Carolathon will take place in the Graduate School Common Room, 2.05, Mansfield Cooper Building.

There will be mince pies!

The reading will be followed by:

  • A quiz on the book (students v. staff);
  • 3.15pm - a screening of 'A Muppet Christmas Carol' in the Graduate Training Room (2.04);
  • 4.45pm - wine and mince pies in the Common Room.
