IT Know-How: How to delay sending and receiving emails

16 Aug 2012

Tips to help you get the most out of IT Services.

Have you ever:

  • Sent an email and missed a recipient out?
  • Forgotten to attach an important form or document to an email?
  • Sent an email to the wrong person?
  • Missed one last important point out of your email?

You can delay sending an email which could buy you some extra time to correct any of the above situations, should they arise.

The ‘delay sending’ feature is also useful in cases where you want an email only to be deliveredon a future date. This may include the sending of scheduled appointment reminders, or simply delaying the sending of an email to a person who you know is away for a period of time.

To make use of this feature and allow yourself more time to check your email prior to sending in Outlook, explore the Knowledge base articles for further explanation and instructions.
