Throughout May, Perkz asked all users to open up, share their thoughts and give them some much valued feedback on their service.

They have now published the full survey results online at:

Key results of the survey

  • Over half of respondents use the service once a month, with usage split evenly between home and work.
  • 48.6% use their smartphone for shopping on the internet and 14.4% use their smartphone to shop on Perkz (Perkz will be dong more to make the service interactive with smartphones).
  • 23.8% are already using their tablets (e.g. iPad) to shop online and 12.8% are using their tablets to shop on Perkz.
  • Perkz has a role to play in most shopping situations, especially when browsing for ideas and making specific purchases.
  • The most popular items on Perkz are holidays and electronics, because of the high value discounts on offer, but more Perkz members are taking advantage of the discounts on their weekly grocery shop.
  • The majority of people still prefer to use the online discounts, although 23.8% use the gift cards/vouchers as well.
  • A significant number of respondents would like more reminders to use Perkz and notification of new offers (people often make a purchase, then realise they could have saved money if they had gone to Perkz).
  • Most found it easy to locate the offer they wanted on Perkz, but there were several suggestions for improvements to the navigation.
  • There were some fantastic ideas for products and services that users would like to see added to Perkz, including ratings of offers by colleagues and mobile and tablet apps.
  • 82.3% of respondents gave a score of 7-10 (with 10 being extremely likely) to the likelihood of their recommending Perkz.

The good news is that Perkz are working on all these areas, so watch this space!
