Access to your 2011/2012 Blackboard courses

09 Jul 2012

You and your students still have access to your Blackboard courses (now marked [Ended]) for this current academic year 2011/2012.

Your students will have access to 2011/2012 courses until the end of the resit period which is Friday 31 August. Resit without attendance students for 2012/2013 will not have access to their Blackboard content for the year in which they studied. Students have been instructed to download any content they may need for future years before they lose access on Friday 31 August 2012.

You will have access to your Semester 1 2011/2012 courses until 15 October 2012 and your All Year and Semester 2 courses until 15 February 2013. After the end date in Campus Solutions (typically around the second week in June) they will be moved to the ‘Ended’ tab in My Manchester. You will be able to ‘roll forward’ this years course to next year as soon as your administrator has scheduled the course in Campus Solutions - full details are in:

Visibility and Status of 2012/2013 Blackboard courses

All Semester 1 and All Year - and most of Semester 2 - courses for the next academic year should be visible to Academics (except New Academics - see below) during August or earlier.

Courses are only accessible to students one week before the start of teaching. For most courses in 2012/13 this is:

  • Semester 1 and all-year courses: 10 September 2012
  • Semester 2 courses: 21 January 2013

For the week before the start of teaching, students will see their courses under the 'Future' tab in MyManchester. When the course starts, courses will appear under the 'Current' tab.
