Would you like to help improve online working at the University?

19 Jan 2012

Here's your chance to provide feedback, test ideas and review early versions of new systems.

We have all experienced the frustrations of not being able to find the information we require easily, the inconvenience of logging in to numerous different systems daily, or having to manually do things that could easily be done on-line. In fact, staff surveys and feedback clearly tell us that improvements are needed.

To this end, in the same way that we started to improve the student online experience during 2011, we are now looking to deliver improved and new online services for all staff and postgraduate research students.

In essence, we are looking to produce a collection of online tools which will allow useres to focus on the actual task (be it admin, teaching or research) instead of on the mechanics of how to do it. Some will be new, some will be improvements to existing systems, and others will make existing things more accessible.

As the main users of our online systems, we’d really value your help and input into improving them. We are looking for staff and PGR student volunteers to take part in surveys, occasional short focus groups and demonstrations, to test ideas and to review any early versions of what we may produce.
