Win an encounter with Deadly 60s Steve Backshall

Taking your inspiration from nature, what can you invent to make the world a better place?

Your entry could be in the form of a drawing, photo or poem, in fact the only limit to the competition is your imagination.

Eight winners will be chosen. The winners and their families (up to five people per family) will be invited to The Manchester Museum on Wednesday 13 April, 4-5pm, to meet Deadly 60s Steve Backshall with a chance to ask Steve questions, have a photo taken, get an autograph and show him the winning entries. Steve Backshall will be opening our new Living Worlds gallery later that day.

In Victorian Manchester there was a Geological Society and a Natural History Society. They shared a museum, but disagreed about the admission fee – and about everything else, including the museum’s umbrella stand. Find out more and go on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Museum’s geology collection.
