Free event to mark International Women’s Day 2011

You are cordially invited to attend a special lecture on the little known World War Two hero, Noor Inayat Khan, as part of our International Women’s Day 2011 celebrations

We have invited Shrabani Basu, journalist and biographer of Noor, to provide a lecture on this unique woman, who was the first female radio operator to be sent into occupied France to aid the French Resistance and was awarded the George Cross after her death in captivity.

The talk is free and is being held is at University Place on Thursday 3 March. The event begins at 6.30pm and the talk will run from 7pm to 8.30pm with a break for some refreshments.
