employability

Improving student employability is a key priority for the University. You are invited to an event designed to help colleagues improve your understanding of this agenda quickly.

The programme is designed to accommodate colleagues who cannot attend the entire event and staff are welcome to sign up for all, or part of, the event.

The core presentations will take place between 1.30pm and 2.50pm. Speakers include the Chief Executive of the Association of Graduate Recruiters, the Director of Graduate Labour Market Research at the Higher Education Careers Services Unit, the University’s Deputy President & Deputy Vice-Chancellor and the General Secretary of the University of Manchester Students’ Union.

Two sessions will follow:

  • An overview of the Destinations of Leavers of Higher Education (DLHE) survey - what it is, how its results are presented in the media and how it affects our rankings in league tables;
  • Successful employability initiatives led and organised by academic schools.
