Final Agreement to be implemented following trade union acceptance
Dear Colleagues
Further to my email of 7 July, I am writing to inform you that following further discussions and consultation between its Branch Executive and members, the Unite trade union has now decided to accept the Final Agreement.
As advised previously, the ballots conducted by UCU and UNISON resulted in a majority voting to accept the Final Agreement.
I am therefore pleased to inform you that measures will now be put in place to implement the provisions of this Final Agreement.
A further communication about when letters will be issued and when backpay will be paid will be issued shortly. I can, however, give you an assurance that in issuing individual letters, priority will be given to cases involving a change of grade (i.e. red and green circles).
