Familial Bowel Cancer Study Day

On 26 November at the Nowgen Centre

This training day focuses on the role of primary and secondary care in delivering familial bowel cancer services. The programme provides a series of talks by expert professionals from the fields of research and current clinical practice. The talks will be followed by an interactive session with discussion of the topics covered.

  • Pathology of bowel cancer & polyps
  • Inherited bowel cancer syndromes
  • Risk assessment,
  • Screening for inherited bowel cancer
  • Molecular testing for bowel cancer
  • Process of genetic testing for bowel cancer
  • Upper GI screening, the paediatrician’s perspective
  • The oncologist’s perspective and bowel cancer family history clinics
