Replacement gas main works

Brunswick Street closed (except for access) in September/October

The replacement gas main works on Oxford Road are progressing southwards through the campus.

The North West Gas Alliance have advised of unplanned excavations being needed at the junction of Brunswick Street and Oxford Road which will involve the closure of Brunswick Street, except for access, at the Upper Brook Street junction. This work is likely to be undertaken in approximately three weeks' time and we are advised that it will last for a four-week period.

In addition, there will be an excavation directly opposite (outside the Whitworth Hall) which will last for approximately eight weeks.
