21 May 2010

Manchester University Music and Drama Societies present classic 1940s musical comedy

What would you do with 24 hours in New York? This is the conundrum posed to three sailors on shore leave from World War Two. Gabey, Chip and Ozzie explore the sights, lights and nights of the city - but will they find the girls of their dreams?

The University of Manchester Music and Drama Societies present Leonard Bernstein's 'On the Town', a classic 1940s musical comedy. This exciting cinematic vision will bring to life on stage the all-singing, all-dancing cast of New York misfits, sailors and glamorous women for a raucous and riotous evening of fun and frolics!

Performing at the Zion Arts Centre on 27 and 28 May at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £12 (£8 concessions, £5 students) and can be reserved online at:
