Two-day workshop for academic and Professional Support Services managers

Effective internal communications can be a very powerful tool. Done well, it can engage and motivate your staff and help your team to deliver results and manage change.

This workshop gives you a chance to think about the way you and your team currently communicates. It also shows you some useful and practical techniques for communication which you can put into practice in your own workplace. 

The workshop covers the following:

  • An audit of your current methods of communication
  • A detailed look at the different ways to communicate and which method to use when
  • Focus on face-to-face communications including dealing with difficult conversations
  • Advice on handling feedback
  • Information about the University’s team briefing system
  • How to access University-wide communication channels

The next session is running on Thursday 25 February (Day One) and Thursday 11 March (Day Two).
