Tabley House Carol Concert selling fast!

16 Nov 2009

Readings and carols in the old chapel on 8 December

The traditional Carol Concert at Tabley House, organised by the Friends, is now only a couple of weeks away and proving as popular as ever, but there are still tickets left for this most traditional of Christmas events.

The Concert takes place at 7.30pm on Tuesday 8 December, in the delightful old chapel at Tabley House. As usual, it will include carols and seasonal readings, both sacred and secular. There will also be a variety of choral offerings from the Border Singers, back again by popular demand.

Another tradition that helps to ensure the popularity of Tabley’s Carol Concert is the custom of finishing the evening with mince-pies and a glass of wine!

The setting for the concert is even more than usually appropriate this year, as the refurbishment of the chapel itself is the Friends' next project.

Buy your tickets early this year, as there was quite a crush for tickets on the night last year, and people nearly had to be turned away! Tickets cost £12 (£10 for Friends) and are available from:

  • Pat Sheppard on 01625 861533

The Friends are also finalising their programme of events for the first half of next year and will announce these early in the New Year. These events, which include lectures, concerts and visits to houses or galleries, are always hugely enjoyable and the proceeds from ticket sales will go a long way to raising the money for the Chapel project.
