Welcome to our September family newsletter. This month we continue the excitement of the Olympics in the run-up to the Cultural Olympiad. Activities in the Museum will be linked with the Olympiad themes of opening up and lighting up. We hope you can join in our celebrations.

Magic Carpet: Treasures
Friday 26 September, 11am-12noon
Join us on a trail to explore the Museums treasures.

Big Saturday: Bling, treasures of The Manchester Museum
Saturday 27 September 11am-4pm
Help light up the Museum with bling.
Uncover the Museum's treasures including money, butterflies, beetles, gemstones, rocks, ancient Egyptian jewellery and much more. Tell us about the things you treasure. Bring in your bling and create your own treasure chest and story.
- 11am-4pm: Art and craft, object handling Drop-in, Free, All ages
- 12noon, 2pm: Treasure hunt Book, Free, Under 8s
Go on a treasure hunt with storyteller Gina Perry. Follow clues hidden in the stories at each treasure to lead you to the next clue. Every clue leads to a bigger treasure. Can you make it to the end to get your big prize? - 11.30am, 2.30pm: Family Friendly Film Club Screening
