Should we display the dead?

Debate on 13 May, 7-9pm, at Museum of Science and Industry.

There is currently a furious debate in museums about human remains. Should museums display human remains at all, and if so why and how? Is the display of human remains for education, or entertainment, or to boost visitor numbers with a promise of the macabre and ghoulish?

This debate, led by The Manchester Museum as part of a series organised by the Museum of Science and Industry in association with the BODY WORLDS 4 exhibition, looks uncompromisingly at all sides of the question.
