What's on at the Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama.

Performances in May and June.

Thursday 29 and Friday 30 May at 1pm and 6pm - The MA Theatre Studies Performances take place over a two-day period in the John Thaw Studio Theatre. Featuring work written and performed by The University of Manchester's Drama students.

Sunday 1 June at 7pm - The Innovaris Orchestra presents 'An Opera Festival' - a stunning programme of opera music from Italy, Russia, Germany and France. Come for a taste of operatic masterworks from the greatest composers in classical music! First formed in winter 2007 by students from The University of Manchester and RNCM, this is the Innovaris Orchestra's debut performance at the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall. Featuring work by Verdi, Glinka, Wagner & Bizet.

Monday 2 to Thursday 5 June - A week of concerts by The University of Manchester's Music Society takes place in the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall under the title Estival - please check our website for further details.

Sunday 8 June - Manchester's finest musicians pay tribute to the legendary gig playing their own songs plus interpretations of the artists you know and love - when Manchester Does ... The Last Waltz. Check our website for the full line-up.

Friday 13 to Sunday 15 June - Looking further ahead, the Quatuor Danel Open House weekend is taking place at the Martin Harris Centre. This three-day event is a fabulous music-making opportunity with the Quatuor Danel and Professor David Fanning coaching students and members of the public, directing sight-reading sessions and taking part in informal concerts alongside those ensembles who wish to perform in public.
