Visitors' parking on North Campus.

17 Dec 2013

Permits must now be issued to all visitors wishing to park on North Campus.

In line with visitor parking on South Campus, Visitors Day Permits must now be issued to all visitors wishing to park on North Campus (not Charles Street MSCP). The permits are purchased from the Permit Office with a purchase requisition showing your GL Finance Code, i.e. AB / 12345 / 4156 at a cost of £2.00 each. They are sold in batches of 10, with 10 being the minimum order. Please note, the purchase requisition cannot be processed on a project code or a research code (codes beginning with 'R'). The requisition can either be:

Your permits will then be sent out to you in the internal mail.

The permit should either be sent to the visitor for them to hand to the Gatehouse staff on attendance, or if the visit is at short notice, they can be handed directly to the Gatehouse in order to inform the staff there of your visitor. Visitors Day Permits are not available to non-University departments who do not process their accounts through the University Oracle Finance system (i.e. Tenants, NHS etc).

The permits must not be issued to staff wishing to park in this area. The 147 Oxford Rd Link bus is available for staff travelling to meetings etc between North and South Campus. There will no doubt be times when this service cannot be utilised, and on such occasions, please contact the Permit Office on ext 52231 in an effort to make alternative arrangements.

Service Engineers etc will be given access without a permit as long as they are in a van or a sign written vehicle, but the Permit Office should be notified in advance of any visits. If, for any reason, they are not in a works vehicle, identification should be produced.

Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
