University handball team takes on Europe's elite

England's best team in 2006/07 heads for Belgrade Main

The men's team of The University of Manchester Handball Club will take on prominent opposition on 28-30 September in their first round matches of the European Handball Federation's Challenge Cup. Tournament host and former two time European Club Champion Metaloplastika Sabac will be overwhelming favourites to proceed to the next round. The further opposition will come from Bosnia-Herzegovina and Slovakia. The team from Manchester, combining players from eight different countries, however, is intent on selling their skin dearly and will enjoy an unprecedented European adventure.
