UMSS - new employee contribution rate

Increase takes effect from 1 August 2007

The consultation period for the increase in contributions has now closed. The comments received were largely supportive of the change. The campus trade unions have also supported this measure. Therefore, with effect from 1 August 2007, the contribution rate for the University increases to 18.75% of earnings, and for members to 6.25% of earnings.
