Sign up for EDI lunch and learn sessions

27 Oct 2022

Join our upcoming lunchtime sessions on our Race Equality Charter journey and Anti Bullying Week

Our Race Equality Charter journey on Tuesday, 8 November at 12pm

The University is firmly committed to progressing race equality and equity for all. Part of this has been our activity in engaging with the Advance HE Race Equality Charter (REC) since its inception in 2015. Our previous submissions in 2015 and 2018 received Bronze awards in recognition of our foundational work in eliminating racial inequalities and developing inclusive cultures.

Work on race equality has progressed in line with commitments made in our REC submissions and the interim Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy. Read more about our progress.

Our commitment to progress is strongly reaffirmed in the new EDI strategy, launched in October 2022. Nevertheless, we recognise the need to do more and at pace.

Join our lunch and learn session ‘the Race Equality Charter journey’ to hear about our current position, key initiatives that are driving progress towards equality and inclusivity, the upcoming REC submission process and ways that you can support it and share your views.

This session is open to all staff from all areas and roles.

The session will be held on Zoom. Book your place via the Training Catalogue

If you have any accessibility requirements that you would like to make the organisers aware of so that you can participate fully, please email equalityanddiversity@manchester.ac.uk
