There are a number of events and activities taking place for World Menopause Day. Between 1pm and 2pm the menopause bus choir will be at University Place. There will be more webinars for staff and line managers in November, there are 10 free places on a six week menopause nutrition course and 50 menopause fans are up for grabs! For more information read the World Menopause Day page.

Netball on campus

The Sports Team are looking for women staff and postgraduate students to join the campus netball league – even if you’ve not played for a while! They are looking for women to join their teams and play regular matches throughout the academic year (October - March). Netball is a great way to not only get fit and enjoy playing the game, but a chance to meet new people and extend your networks at our University. Matches are played on Wednesday evenings at Sugden Sports Centre.

Financial wellbeing

On the Vivup platform there is a financial wellbeing hub in their lifestyle benefits section. From this you can access Angel Advance for free debt guidance. You can also do an assessment for life insurance and critical illness insurance. If you’re buying, selling or remortgaging, you can also access Stipendium’s independent, Convey portal that enables you to choose from a panel of more than 150 conveyancers in less than two minutes. Register via the Vivup discounts page and follow the instructions to access their discounts and range of support.

The University’s financial wellbeing page is constantly being updated to ensure useful information in these difficult times. If you support students there is a link for student focussed support so you are aware of what is available.
