Staff Survey – have you completed yours?

22 Sep 2022

Over 3,600 colleagues now eligible for free coffee and cake

Win an iPad

Staff Survey 2022 relaunched on 5 September, and over 3,600 colleagues have already completed theirs and are eligible to redeem a free hot drink and a cake at our Food on Campus outlets.

Not only that but they are also eligible to win an iPad in our weekly prize draws. Two lucky people have already been chosen at random via our survey company People Insight and will be receiving their iPads soon:

  • Week 1 – Maddison Coke, Experimental Officer in the National Graphene Institute
  • Week 2 – Evaldas Simanavicius, Researcher in the Department of Chemistry

In addition, we are supporting Re-write Cancer as part of this survey which means that £1 for every completed survey goes towards helping to create a new life-saving cancer research centre, right in the heart of Manchester. We are also continuing our pledge to plant a tree for every survey completed. This is in addition to the 6,500 trees already pledged from the previous survey.

Patrick Hackett, Registrar, Secretary and Chief Operating Officer said: “Let me take this opportunity to encourage you all to complete the staff survey – I made it a priority to do mine as soon as the email landed in my inbox. It’s a quick and easy way to make sure that you share your thoughts on what it’s like to work at our University – what is good, what we could be better and what we need to focus on in the future. The staff survey results will guide and shape our plans and decision making as we deliver the Our People Our Values theme of Our future. So please take a few minutes to do the survey – your voice really does matter.”

How do I complete the survey?

  1. Click the link in your email invitation from survey-invite@peopleinsight.co.uk, or
  2. Go to www.peopleinsight.co.uk/manchester2022 and enter your Staff ID from your staff card.

How long does it take to complete?

It takes around 15 minutes and you should be given time as part of your working day to complete it

Why should I complete it?

Your individual responses are completely confidential, but your collective responses help build a picture about what is working well and what we could improve at a School, Directorate, Faculty or University level so that we can put together action plans to make a real difference and make positive changes.
