Access to SharePoint 2010 websites

Due to an identified cyber security threat, IT Services has changed how you access University resources that use the SharePoint 2010 platform.
Access to websites starting 'https://xorg.manchester.ac.uk' now require you to use the GlobalProtect VPN with 2-factor authentication from Duo, whether you are on or off campus. If you’re not connected to the VPN you will see a message telling you to connect.
This shouldn’t affect the majority of colleagues as we already use the GlobalProtect VPN as part of IT login, however it may affect external users who haven’t had to use the VPN before.
