International Women's Day - Burnout: A Lived Experience, Thursday 10 March

03 Mar 2022

Join Deborah Bulcock as she openly shares her own journey with burnout, providing insights on the factors that led to it, what it felt like to live through, and what she learned from the experience

IWD Deborah Bulcock

Ten years ago Leadership Coach, Nutritional Therapist, Author, and Burnout Prevention Advocate Deborah Bulcock experienced the full force of burnout, leaving her bed-ridden, confused and alone in a society that didn’t really accept burnout as a “real thing” at the time.

A decade later, with recovery behind her, Deborah has focused her work on helping professionals in the workplace be their best without the risk of burnout.

In this this hour long talk starting at 12pm, Deborah will also discuss why levels of burnout are on the increase, with a particular spike resulting from the pandemic. Reports show more females than males are experiencing burnout, a trend also exacerbated by the pandemic.

This year's International Women's Day campaign theme is #BreakTheBias. For further information and details of how to sign up for events across our University visit:
