Recruitment drive at Jodrell Bank

02 Mar 2022

New visitor offer to open this summer

As we look ahead, towards the opening of the First Light Pavilion later this summer, Jodrell Bank has begun a huge recruitment drive that will see their team more than double in the next two years.

Between now and August 2024, Jodrell will be recruiting 28 new roles across management, engagement, facilities, marketing, retail, catering, and front of house.

Teresa Anderson, Director, Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement said: “As we extend our visitor offer, we’re thrilled at the prospect of also growing our team. It’s a great time to join us as we re-emerge from the pandemic with a new world-class attraction and an exciting future ahead of us. We’re opening up new and varied roles right across the organisation so we’re especially looking forward to welcoming applicants from a wide range of different backgrounds.”

The recruitment drive has already begun and fourteen new roles are now open for applicants. These include Explainers, Exhibition and Auditorium Technicians, Visitor Services Officers and Hospitality Services Assistants.

Opportunities for a Group Bookings Officer and an Executive Assistant will soon follow, as well as the launch of their annual seasonal casual recruitment drive. Even more jobs are also set to open up later in the year.

Meanwhile, a whole new volunteering programme will also be launched later in the Spring. Offering fantastic work experience opportunities for both young and old in the local community, volunteers can get involved by supporting work in the Jodrell Bank Arboretum, at bluedot and other events, in public engagement activities and front of house and visitor welcome roles.
