Break the Bias IWD

We are hosting an online Zoom panel event on Wednesday 9 March 2022, 12pm-1pm to celebrate International Women’s Day where the discussions will be around this year’s theme - #BreakTheBias, and we would be delighted if you can join us.

#BreakTheBias is the start for a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination; one that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Difference is valued and celebrated.

We are all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day and we can break the bias in our communities, our workplaces, our schools, colleges and universities. Together, we can all break the bias - on International Women's Day and beyond.

The questions posed to the panel will bring these points to the forefront and you will have the chance to ask your own questions of panel on how we can #BreakTheBias.

The panel will be hosted by Melody Stephen, General Secretary of the Student Union. Also joining the panel are Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell; Professor Amel Alghrani, alumna and Professor in Law at the University of Liverpool; Shalni Arora, CEO of Savannah Wisdom; and Grace Harvey, British Para-swimmer and third-year immunology student.
