Learn, Lead, Progress: inclusive learning for an inclusive community

Find out more about inclusive learning

Learn, Lead, Progress

All staff are entitled to a learning experience that respects their individual needs regardless of role, position or working pattern. Inclusive learning means embracing everyone in learning and development options and opportunities.

Inclusive Manchester is an institution-wide initiative and place to find out how we can  contribute to an inclusive and welcoming environment. For staff learning and development, this includes how, when and where learning is provided, and consistently using inclusive language and design principles.

The Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD) team aims to design, deliver and evaluate learning in a way that supports all staff to engage meaningfully with the content and achieve their full potential.  We are currently undertaking an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) audit, to establish how we can further improve on our inclusive learning offer.  The University’s EDI strategy is in the process of being reviewed by our new Director Banji Adewumi and it will inform continuous improvements for more inclusive learning.
