A reminder to attendees and all interested colleagues that our webinar on becoming a school governor will be held on Thursday (10 February) from noon – 1pm.
Now more than ever, schools need your support. There are hundreds of schools across the North West looking for people from a broad variety of backgrounds who can bring their skills to the table and support school improvement through effective governance.
As a board level role, school governor volunteering provides a real opportunity to make a difference in your community while utilising your expertise and developing new skills.
Governors for Schools is a national education charity committed to helping ensure excellent education which recruits, matches and supports volunteers in the school governor role.
As a member of our University staff, you can find out how your skills can benefit a school at the webinar. Hundreds of your colleagues already contribute their expertise in this way.
The webinar will also cover the role of school governing boards, how our free service works and the training we provide you with both before and after you are appointed as a school governor.
