The bookshop is hosting a number of author events in October

Tuesday, 5 October, 6.30pm

Joseph Knox and Will Dean discuss their latest novels True Crime Story (set right here on the UoM campus!) and Bad Apples.

Wednesday, 6 October, 6.30pm

Alice Hattrick, Catriona Morton and Lucia Osborne-Crowley will be discussing their latest non-fiction books Ill Feelings, The Way We Survive: Notes on Rape Culture and My Body Keeps Your Secrets which explore chronic pain and surviving trauma. They will be chatting to host Sam Mills (Fragments of My Father, Chauvo-Feminism).

Friday, 8 October, 7pm, at Anthony Burgess Foundation

Robin Ince, The Importance of Being Interested. A mix of stand-up comedy and informative chat, Robin Ince talks about his latest book which explains why science is for everyone, not just scientists. 

Wednesday, 13 October, 6.30pm

Spooky Season Short Story Salon - Dead Relatives by Lucie McKnight Hardy, Dark Neighbourhood by Vanessa Onwuemezi and Safely Gathered In by Sarah Schofield. The evening will be hosted by Valerie O'Riordan.

Tuesday, 19 October, 6.30pm

Jenn Ashworth and Kylie Whitehead talk about their latest novels Ghosted and Absorbed with host Naomi Booth.

Thursday, 21 October, 6.30pm

Sammy Wright and Steve Hollyman chat to host Nicholas Royle about their debut novels Fit and Lairies which both explore modern life in small town Britain.
