Campus maintenance work – tree surveys

Health and Safety tree surveys have recently been undertaken across all our campus sites

The surveys recommended maintenance work including the felling and pollarding of a number of trees, which is due to start soon.

The work will remove dead or dying trees and trees that pose a threat to people or buildings. Appropriate ecology surveys will be carried out before a tree is felled and felling will be delayed if necessary.

Trees will be planted to replace the felled trees towards the end of 2021 and proposals are being drawn up to include carefully selected species which will contribute to biodiversity.
