Help shape the future of the University’s EDI strategy

EDI

Colleagues are invited to attend a session about the University’s new Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy and action plan, ahead of a new Director of EDI being appointed in the coming months.

These sessions are open to any member of staff at the University and form part of a larger piece of work reviewing the University’s work in the area. Please note, specific sessions will be held for students and staff networks, including those who have EDI as part of their job role, at a later stage. These people will be contacted directly.

Places are limited so colleagues are encouraged to book their place early.

  • Session 1: Tuesday 16 March, 2pm -3pm, on Zoom
  • Session 2: Tuesday 16 March, 4pm – 5pm, on Zoom

These sessions will be introduced by Interim Head of EDI, Mehrunnisa Lalani, and Vice-President for Social Responsibility, Nalin Thakkar, before the group is split into smaller rooms to discuss plans for the strategy. The breakout sessions will be facilitated by a member of the EDI team who will be on hand to answer any questions to help assist the discussion.

  • The University’s Equality Information Report for the academic year 2019/20 is now available – this gives a comprehensive range of EDI data about our staff and students.
