AVATAR2 trial launch event

16 Dec 2020

You are invited to the launch of the AVATAR2 trial on 11 January 2021, a talking therapy for people who hear distressing voices

This event will include an introduction to the AVATAR2 trial and demonstrations of AVATAR therapy software by the trial team from the four trial sites; Kings College London, University College London, University of Manchester and University of Glasgow. There will be a panel Q&A session at the end of the afternoon.

We are also delighted to confirm there will be talks from two external speakers; Sir Norman Lamb, Chair of South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and Dr Lisa Cameron, MP for East Kilbride, Strathaven & Lesmahagow and Consultant Clinical Psychologist.

This event will be of interest to clinicians working with people who hear voices in our NHS Partner Trusts; SLaM, SWLSTG, Oxleas, NELFT, C&I, GMMH, Penine Care, GG&C and NHS Lanarkshire. We also think anyone interested in novel psychological therapies, digital health or improving care for people who hear voices will find the event interesting and useful. This free event will take place as an MS Teams Live Event, subtitles will be available and it will be recorded for viewing afterwards. .
