Compassionate Colleague – new dates for January 2021

07 Dec 2020

Living and working through a global pandemic has had an impact on the wellbeing of many people

Compassionate colleague

We know that for some, this time has led to poor mental health.  We want to ensure that all of our staff have an awareness of the signs and symptoms of poor mental health and where people can go for help and support.

We hope that by being aware of these signs and symptoms, our staff will feel confident to check in with a colleague if they are concerned they are struggling with their mental health, and remind them of the help that is available.

Our new initiative, Compassionate Colleague, allows staff to take part in a short training course which will explain the signs to look out for and the various sources of wellbeing and mental health support available to staff.

Regular training sessions are taking place.  Any member of University staff is invited to come along and become a Compassionate Colleague.
