Unconscious Bias - Book your place now

04 Nov 2020

Recognise bias and challenge your own and others’ biases

Our University strives to ensure it creates a truly diverse and accepting space, where all students and staff can thrive and feel like they belong. Inclusion of every member of our community is very important to us.

The University will be launching our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy in the next few months and this will set out our objectives for the next five years. You can read the Race Matters at Manchester report, actions outlined from which will form part of this strategy. If you did not get chance to attend the recent Race Matters open meeting, you can watch a recording of it on StaffNet

You can find out more information about how you can support race equality work or visit the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion webpages for further guidance.

As part of this strategy, we would strongly encourage all staff members to complete the following course:

This is an online course to help you to recognise bias and challenge your own and others’ biases. There is also a full collection of LinkedIn Learning resources to support your further development.

For more information about the learning resources available for staff, please visit the SL&D StaffNet pages or email us at staffld@manchester.ac.uk.
