WATCH: Race Matters at Manchester open meeting

04 Nov 2020

Recorded version now available

Nalin

Colleagues and students were invited to attend an open meeting with Professor Nalin Thakkar, Vice-President for Social Responsibility on Monday 2 November, 3pm - 4pm using the online platform Zoom.

The actions that are outlined in our new Race Matters at Manchester report will form part of our wider equality, diversity and inclusion strategy.

Staff and students who registered for this event were able to ask a question to the panel. For those who were unable to attend you can watch the recording below.

At our University we want to make sure that no matter what your sex, gender identity, ethnicity, disability, age, religion or belief, you will thrive, be treated with dignity and respect and feel that you belong.

The terrible events in the United States over the summer focussed our efforts and led to the establishment of a Rapid Response Group to look at the range of existing work being undertaken and identify any gaps. This group has now produced a report.
