University’s Climate Network host speaker Laura D’Henin to discuss empowering UK citizens to talk about climate change with politicians

Our University’s Climate Network is hosting speaker Laura D’Henin, from Hope For The Future (HFTF), to discuss empowering UK citizens to talk about climate change with politicians.

The event will take place online on Thursday, 22 October (1-2pm) - you can register below.

The UoM Climate Network is a friendly group of staff and students who are passionate about limiting (and potentially even reversing) the damaging effects of man-made climate change, both in a local and global sense.

It hosts a weekly Thursday lunchtime seminar series at which guest speakers discuss a variety of topics related to climate change and sustainability; previous talks have focussed on Sustainable Fashion, Eco-Anxiety, Food Waste, and Effective Climate Change Communication.

These seminars and any other relevant climate change events are advertised in a weekly newsletter to Listserv subscribersYammer is also used to share updates/ideas and the Facebook page allows for the external promotion of events.
