Issues affecting access to Outlook email - RESOLVED

Microsoft are reporting that there are currently issues affecting access to Outlook email

Latest update:

IT Services have not received any further reports of staff or students being unable to access their email due to this outage, and it is now believed to be resolved by Microsoft. The cause was a configuration change made within Microsoft’s systems which resulted in email access issues across the globe. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact the IT Support Centre: 

Update (12.30pm):

Microsoft report: The service has recovered for the majority of users. We are performing traffic-management optimization measures to ensure the service recovers for all users.

Update (10.46am):

Microsoft report: Further analysis has determined that the issue is being caused by a recent configuration update to components that route user requests. We've reverted the update and telemetry shows that the service is now recovering.
